TanHoldings and its charitable arm, Tan Siu Lin Foundation, extended their support and donated for the Diabetes Awareness Project of the Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club.
Last month, Tan Siu Lin Foundation Executive Director Merlie Tolentino handed the donation to the Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club President Annamae Adaza and former president Eli Arago at the TanHoldings Corporate Office.
The Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club held the Diabetes Awareness Project seminar last May 26 at the Hibiscus Hall of the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. The project aims to spread awareness and encourage people to take a step in preventing the disease. Aside from the seminar, the Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club also provided reading materials to the attendees.
Diabetes and its complications “are definitely a cause of concern not only in the CNMI but the rest of the world and getting valuable information about the disease out to the community could help prevent the loss of limbs and lives.”, TSL Foundation Executive Director Merlie Tolentino said.
