Tan Holdings was among the of businesses and members of the community that participated in support of the American Cancer Society’s 2017 Relay For Life in Guam last May 26. Thousands of people filled the George Washington High School track & field for the event.
The said event is annually held to celebrate the cancer survivors as well as their respective caregivers, and honor those who died during their battle against the illness. Displayed in the event were hundreds of luminaria – ceremonial lantern bags each representing a loved one lost to cancer.
The 12-hour event is said to be one of the island’s largest fundraising efforts which draws thousands of community members – a strong demonstration of solidarity.
