As the spirit of Christmas embraced the world last year, Tan Holdings and Tan Siu Lin Foundation gave the residents of Broadway Estates simple presents packaged in “300 Buckets of Hope”. It is noted that Tinian is one of the areas affected by the Typhoon Yutu in 2018. A brief presentation ceremony was conducted led by Tan Holdings executives President and CEO Jerry Tan, VP for Business Development Alex Sablan, VP for Corporate Affairs/ Human Resources Catherine Attao and Community Relations Director Carline Sablan with Tan Siu Lin Foundation General Manager Merlie Tolentino and Tinian Municipal Operations Center’s Vanessa Manglona, Tito Manglona and Wally Villagomez. Also present in the event were acting mayor and chairman, Edwin Hofschneider and representative-elect Antonio SN. Borja who received the buckets.
The 300 Buckets of Hope contain various practical items such as laundry detergent, bath soap, canned goods, milk, snacks, instant noodles, batteries, etc.
“It is our hope that these buckets provide optimism for the future amidst Yutu’s devastation. We know that recovery and rebuilding will take time. We are a resilient community and we will get through this together. The holiday season is a very important time for the community to come together to help those still impacted by Yutu. I am happy to have made it out to Tinian with my team to personally deliver our ‘Buckets of Hope’ in time for Christmas,” says CEO Jerry Tan.
