Last April 18th, Tan Holdings Executives, managers and staff once more hosted the Annual JP Walk which is now on its 7th year.
This year, the event was renamed as the JP and Cancer Alertness Walk to better represent the event’s campaign to spread cancer awareness to the community.
The event garnered a total of 293 participants comprised of management and employees, family members, friends and the community at-large. They all came out late afternoon and participated in the three-mile walk from JP Center to Susupe Beach Park.
The event raised $5,125.94 which will go to Commonwealth Cancer Association’s Marianas March Against Cancer.
The annual walk is held in memory of John “JP” Pangelinan, former Executive of Tan Holdings. JP passed away in Feb. 5, 2008. At the time of his death, he was the publisher of Saipan Tribune. JP worked for Tan Holdings for 23 years in various capacities in both Saipan and Guam.
