What started as a mere family business turned into a grand enterprise. This year, Tan Holdings continues to rise beyond the horizon as the company celebrates its 40 years of success in Micronesia.
It was an all out festivity last April 10 as the family Tan were joined by government officials, business leaders and company executives at the newly renovated lobby of the Saipan Grand Hotel in Susupe for the anniversary program of Tan Holdings.
Willie Tan, chairman Dr. Tan Siu Lin’s son, conducted the program’s opening remarks where he expressed his sincerest gratitude for the support the company has received from its numerous business partners, government administrations, company employees and from the Micronesian community, to which the company is indebted for their triumphs. Willie Tan also added that Tan Holdings’ will continue to commit to help build the economy, generate jobs, develop and sustain social and environmental programs in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI), which he referred to as his second home.
Gregorio Kilili Sablan, CNMI delegate, the Senate, House of Representative and the Saipan Municipal Council all expressed their admiration to chairman Dr. Tan Sui Lin and the company in form of commemorative resolutions and plaques of appreciation. In turn, Dr. Tan Sui Lin led a series of donations that upholds his cherished causes as a token of thanks for the people of CNMI.
A Polynesian dance group greeted guests while the Marianas High School Rhythm, Harmony Glee Club and the MHS Chorale sang the U.S. and CNMI national anthems. Guests were later on treated to a feast at the hotel’s Barefoot Beach Bar immediately after the program.
Happy 40th year anniversary Tan Holdings!
