On June 13, 2009 at the CPA Airport Field, Beautify CNMI recognized Tan Holdings as a model of corporate environmental responsibility. Under the leadership of president Jerry Tan, Tan Holdings employees and friends have been part of several environmental projects over the past year. All Tan Holdings offices on Saipan participate in a Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle program and the company participates in a reusable shopping bag campaign with Joeten. Employees, often with the participation of management, regularly participate in cleanups, including the recent island wide cleanup.
“I’m extremely proud of our company’s participation and role in protecting the environment”, said Tan Holdings President Jerry Tan. “This is a great award and it goes out to all of our employees who are recognized through it. We hope to implement more programs within the company that will settle our environmental agenda, provide inspiration for action, and lay the foundations for a better future,” he added.
