SEVERAL Tan Holdings affiliates showed up last May 18-19 at the Hopwood Junior High track and field to participate in the 2007 Marianas March Against Cancer (MMAC). Themed “One Community…One Journey…,” the event is a fundraiser, which recognizes the many survivors and victims of cancer.

Among the different Tan Holdings companies are CTSI Logistics, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Cosmos Distributing, Century Insurance, Saipan Grand Hotel, POI Aviation and Century Hotel.

As an annual event, the MMAC is the signature fundraising event for the Commonwealth Cancer Association, whose advocacy programs are  cancer awareness, prevention, education, and outreach in the CNMI. 

Cancer is one of the top two leading causes of death in the Commonwealth every year. The CCA and MMAC encourages people to live healthier lifestyles, eat better diets and increase physical activity so that the risk of cancer is diminished if not completely eliminated .
