GUAM. Strengthening its presence in the tourism industry of the Western Pacific, Tan Holdings Corporation (THC) announced today that its subsidiary, Asia Pacific Hotels (Guam), Inc. has acquired the 336-room Guam Dai-Ichi Hotel. The new ownership of the hotel takes effect May 20, 2002. 

The acquisition is the largest and newest investment for the group in Guam. It is the second major hotel acquisition for the firm, which purchased Dai-ichi Hotel Saipan Beach in February of this year.
