Mt. Carmel students take educational tour at Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan

SAIPAN – Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan opened its doors to the Food Technology Class of Mt. Carmel who took an educational tour of the hotel’s facilities last February 27, 2007.
Accompanied by their teacher, the 11 students were given a tour of the hotel by Training Manager Jayneal Borromeo. From the facilities to the kitchen, students saw the inner workings of a world-class hotel. They also learned about food preparation and presentation when they interviewed Executive Chef David Spitzer. Borromeo, on the other hand, also oriented them on hotel trends and answered their queries on the industry.
“The first hand information from this tour surely enriched the basic knowledge they've learned from classroom instructions,” said Rommel C. Calcena, Mt. Carmel’s
Food Technology teacher.
