Tan Holdings Executive Vice President George Chiu joined experts from the tourism industry on a panel at the China Outbound Travel Market Symposium to discuss the challenges Guam faces as they attract the vast Chinese tourist market.
The afternoon panel engaged its audience on how culture and infrastructure are important factors in the growing tourism market. Chiu discussed what he deems important: to provide the Chinese tourists an authentic cultural experience and to have the infrastructure to accommodate the growing number of visitors.
The China Outbound Travel Market Symposium was held last May 22 at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
