Blue Bay Petroleum Incorporated donated $5,000 for the continuation of Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC)’s Summer Internship Program, following the success of the previous summer internship granted by the Government of India to PICRC.
PICRC deems the internship a valuable program for it provides research experience to high school and college students, as well as the opportunities to develop employable skills relating to marine research and resource management. The benefit of gaining a network of long-lasting professional contacts for their future careers is sought to accomplish as well. In addition, innovative ideas are brought for the benefit of PICRC.
Blue Bay has been a major contributor to the PICRC. Other programs supported by Blue Bay are related to environment, sports, culture and the arts, including PICRC’s Arts and Tides Calendar and fundraising events.
