APA brings survivor cargo
ASIA Pacific Airlines (APA) transported the cargo of Clear Water Inc. - the production crew of the famous US reality TV show. Survivor - last January 4,2005.
After filming the 10th Survivor series in Palau, Clear Water chartered APA to transport their equipment to Guam where it was transferred to a Continental Airlines plane en route to Los Angeles. Clear Water crew members brought out cameras, spotlights and other shooting gear in containers from its office in Ngarachamayong Cultural Center in Medalaii for packing up. Each piece of equipment was weighed by a cargo agent from Continental Airlines before being placed in aircraft pallets, covered, tied and placed on trucks for delivery to the Palau, International Airport (PIA).
Present during the packing up was APA Operations Manager Michael H. Chang. Chang said Clear Water chartered APA's Boeing 727-200 plane to bring the cargo to Guam. The plane can carry a maximum of 46,600 pounds of cargo or 12 aircraft pallets.
